The Inner Mongolia 2,500t/d iron mineral processing plant was an EPC+M+O project. Xinhai conducted mineral processing test on the raw ore, which showed that iron was the major valuable mineral.
Grinding and separation: full closed circuit of one-stage grinding and two-stage classification, and four-stage magnetic separation.
Concentrates dewatering: after magnetic separation, concentrates flowed by gravity to the permanent magnetic vacuum filter, where filter cake was transported by belt conveyor to the concentrates dump and filtrate was pumped to the recycling pond.
Tailings dewatering: tailings 3, 4 and 5 were thickened in the hydrocyclone; overflow flowed by gravity to the high-efficiency deep-cone thickener for first-stage thickening and underflow together with thickener underflow flowed by gravity to the dewatering screen; screen water was pumped to the first-stage thickening process; materials on the screen were dry tailings which were transported by belt conveyor to the dump. The first thickening overflow flowed into another high-efficiency deep cone thickener for the second thickening with tailings 1, then the overflow flowed back into the pool. The underflow was pumped into stope pits.
