Stage grinding, stage separation and high separation efficiency

Strong magnetic separation and reverse flotation process ensure the concentrate grade;
Hematite separation process is suitable for complex structure hematite such as hematite and impurities with uneven distribution of particle size, ore with large content of fine particle, ore with small amount of magnetite and the gangue minerals containing quartz or kaolin.
It is the most effective way in processing hematite. Magnetizing roasting is accepted when minerals component is complex or other mineral processing technology can’t reach fine processing index.
It is the tradition processing technology dealing with magnetite and hematite mixed ores. With the development of steel industry, the requirement of iron concentrate is higher and higher, the fine grinding and concentrating of iron minerals is highly focused. Among them, flotation technology has the advantages of low separation particle size limit, fast separation speed and easy control, so it has been widely valued.
Strong magnetic separation is the traditional processing technology for weak magnetic minerals. There are less magnetite and other strong magnetic minerals which would blocking strong magnetic separator. Therefore, weak separation should be added before strong magnetic separation to remove strong magnetic minerals.
The Single magnetic separation has the disadvantage of low concentrate grade. The strong magnetic separation concentrate grade is under 60%. Therefore, Strong magnetic separation – flotation is commonly used to increase grade.
First, single quartz, chlorite and other gangue minerals are ejected through strong magnetic separation. The roughings are sent to fine grinding and flotation into concentrates.
This technology flow has been wildly used in hematite processing. The main characteristic is that the ore can be ground directly to the monomer and dissociated. Tailings ejecting and desliming are both complete during weak magnetic – strong magnetic separation, which reduces the impact of slime. Verse flotation is used to separate quartz and other gangues, and also adjusting the different proportion of magnetite, hematite and martite.
In recent years, in order to further improve the ore processing index, reduce the production cost and improve the utilization rate of resources, a lot of work has been done in China. Among them, the joint process composed of middle, secondary and floating according to different work order and process structure has received universal attention. Typical gravity and magnetic flotation processes include “stage grinding, coarse and fine separation, magnetic separation – gravity separation – anionic reverse flotation” processes and “stage grinding, coarse and fine separation, gravity separation – magnetic separation – anionic reverse flotation” processes.
This hematite iron minerals are mainly composed of magnetite, hematite with uneven distribution, and gangue minerals are quartz. After comprehensive analysis of ore properties Xinhai designed the stages grinding, gravity – magnetic – reverse flotation process— about 60% coarse concentrate and tailings obtained by grinding; gravity separation timely selected qualified coarse concentrate and got rid of coarse tailings; fine-grained treated by the strong magnetic – reverse flotation process.
This process has reasonability in economy and advance in technology. The final indexes: feeding grade 23.15%, concentrate grade 65.95%, tailings grade 10.05%; this result wins the praise of clients.

A hematite in Philippines, annual output of 700000 tons; Xinhai designed two stages desliming process; riffling treated by one roughing, one cleaning and three scavenging; the middling of first scavenging returned to second desliming process. Comprehensive indexes are 69.7% concentrate grade and 65.4% recovery rate.
A hematite in Jiangxi with extremely fine particles distribution was colloidal hematite, which is very difficult to separate. Xinhai designed magnetic roasting-magnetic separation process. Finally, the concentrate grade reached nearly 62%, the recovery rate was 80%.
A hematite ore dressing plant in America, daily output of about 2100t, gangue minerals are quartz, calcium magnesium minerals, Xinhai adopted one stage crushing, one stage autogenous grinding and two stages pebble grinding, and the final grinding size was -0.025mm accounted for 80%.
