BEIJING, November 4 — Xinhai Mining has been named to the winner list of the 17th "National 100 Outstanding Management Cases", and a micro case co-developed by the company has been included in the China Management Case Library .
The selection is an authoritative one in China's management case field. The inclusion marks academic recognition of Xinhai Mining's internationalization practice and its regional deep cultivation strategy.

The micro case, "From 'Global Hunter' to 'Resident Steward': Xinhai Mining's Strategic Choice of Regional Deep Cultivation," was jointly developed by Xinhai Mining and the team of Associate Professor Ju Chuanjing from the School of Economics and Management, Southeast University. Tracing the strategic shift in Xinhai Mining's overseas market expansion, the case documents how the company, through its full-industry-chain mining service (EPC+M+O), has undertaken projects in more than 100 countries and accumulated international experience.
It also records the company's move from "opportunity-driven" single-project overseas expansion to localized regional deep cultivation — sustained, in-country market engagement rather than project-by-project presence — in response to rising management complexity, difficulties in building a stable local client base, and intensifying homogenized competition.
Set against the differing conditions of regional markets including Kazakhstan and Zimbabwe, the case examines how small and medium-sized enterprises with limited resources screen target markets and set priorities for resource allocation. It has been used as a teaching case in courses including Strategic Management and International Business.
Xinhai Mining will continue to deepen localized operations, translate its practical experience into industry knowledge, and contribute Xinhai's approach to the high-quality international expansion of Chinese mining service companies.
