The quartz sand ore pretreatment includes crushing, screening and grinding. The specific process flow is as follows:
Quartz sand raw ore enters jaw crusher through vibrating feeder for crushing. The crushed products are transported to the circular vibrating screen for screening by belt conveyor. The ore that has reached the standard is sent to the following process in advance. The remain ore after screening is sent to the spring cone crusher for secondary crushing. Such a process is a two-stage and one closed-circuit crushing and screening operation. Such a closed-loop operation can improve the efficiency of crushing and screening, and at the same time can fully recover the concentrate in the quartz sand raw ore.
The crushed and screened quartz sand ore needs to be ground with a rod mill to separate the concentrate and impurities as much as possible. The specific grinding technological process is as follows: the crushed and screened ore is transported to the powder silo by the belt conveyor for temporary storage. Then the ore powder will enter the rod mill for grinding under the action of the feeder and the belt conveyor. Such closed circuit screening can recover more quartz sand concentrate.
Glass sand is a kind of quartz sand with higher purity. Therefore, its separation process will be more complicated than that of foundry sand. As mentioned above, a three settling treatment is used in the production of foundry sand. The lower part of the first settling process of the three settlings is used to produce glass sand. The specific process is as follows: the sedimented part of the slurry flows into the plate magnetic separator to remove weakly magnetic impurities. The product after removing impurities needs to flow into the slurry pump and wait for two settling treatments. The processed concentrate flows into the dewatering screen for dewatering treatment to complete the entire process of sorting quartz sand for glass sand.
After grinding, the quartz sand slurry will be pumped into a hinder settler by a slurry pump for classification. The classified tailings are used to produce fine mud. Coarse concentrates are used in the production of foundry sand and glass sand. Coarse quartz sand tailings need to use the thickener to further improve their grade. The size of the thickener depends on the amount of tailings. The product flowing out from the bottom of the thickener also contains a lot of moisture. Thus, it is necessary to use an automatic hydraulic chamber filter press to remove the moisture. It should be noted here that before the pulp enters the filter press, a mixer should be used to evenly distribute the mineral particles in the pulp. This can improve the dehydration efficiency . The filter cake dropped from the filter press is the final finished fine mud.
