As shown above, Xinhai high-efficiency thickener is mainly composed of two major parts including circular thickening tank and rake-type mud scrapper, the same as normal deep cone thickener. The solid particles suspending in the slurry in the thickening tank settles down under their own gravity, after which the clear water is on top. The slurry deposited at the bottom of the thickening tank is continuously scraped to the center by rake and discharged from the outlet. While the clean water overflows to spillway trough, after that, they will be sent back to a corresponding operation or water recycling tank in accordance with dressing plants flow design.
