Xinhai Mining Group Recognized as a 2026 Shandong Provincial Green Factory

Xinhai Mining Group has been recognized as a 2026 Shandong Provincial Green Factory, according to the list of green manufacturing units recently released by the Shandong Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology.

This recognition follows Xinhai Mining’s selection as a Yantai Green Factory in 2022. It marks another recognition of the company’s efforts in green manufacturing and represents further progress in its green and low-carbon development.

As the “dual-carbon” goals continue to advance, green manufacturing and sustainable industrial development have become an important direction for industrial development. Since its establishment, Xinhai Mining has followed a green and sustainable development strategy and integrated green practices into its production and operations. The company has developed a green intelligent industrial park and built a green full-industry-chain approach for mining, demonstrating its continued efforts in green development.

01Green Full-Chain Services Support Low-Carbon Transformation

Xinhai Mining operates three major institutes: the Mining Research Institute, Mining Design Institute, and Machinery Design Institute. The institutes support the company’s independent development of energy-saving equipment such as the Superfine Laminated Autogenous Mill. They also focus on green mineral processing technologies, including cyanide-free gold extraction and dry tailings disposal.

Xinhai Mining’s EPC+M+O full-industry-chain service model covers different stages of mine construction. The model provides integrated coordination across the project and helps improve resource utilization.

From the research and design stage, Xinhai Mining considers each mine's characteristics. It incorporates resource utilization, energy conservation and emission reduction, and environmental protection into early project planning. This approach supports customers in developing processing plants with lower energy consumption and higher efficiency.

02Management Systems Strengthen Green Production

Xinhai Group selects green raw materials, processes, technologies, and equipment while ensuring product function and quality as well as employees’ occupational health and safety.

The company has obtained several third-party management system certifications, including GB/T 19001 Quality Management System, GB/T 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System, GB/T 24001 Environmental Management System, and GB/T 23331 Energy Management System.

These management systems provide support for quality, environmental protection, occupational health and safety, and energy management, further strengthening the foundation for the company’s green factory development.

03Digital Production Supports Continuous Energy-Saving Upgrades

Xinhai Mining’s Intelligent High-End Equipment Manufacturing Center is equipped with digital laser cutting machines, automated welding robots, CNC floor-type boring and milling machines, and other CNC equipment. The company applies digital technologies throughout the production process to improve production efficiency and coordination.

Through digital management tools such as “Tiangong,” Xinhai Mining manages material procurement, transportation, storage, and use to improve coordination across production activities.

The company also continues energy-saving upgrades. It has replaced lighting fixtures with LED lighting and upgraded air-conditioning and compressed-air equipment. Xinhai Mining also plans to implement an equipment localization and upgrading project to improve energy utilization further.

04Solar Power and Ground-Source Heat Pumps Support Cleaner Energy Use

Xinhai Mining has invested in a new intelligent factory that integrates the Intelligent High-End Equipment Manufacturing Center, Data Monitoring Center, Mineral Processing Testing and Design Center, and R&D Center.

Following its green and sustainable development strategy, the factory has invested in a 1,279.935 kW distributed photovoltaic power generation project. The project includes 2,954 photovoltaic modules and covers a total installation area of 26,000 square meters, with a total installed capacity of 1,279.935 kW. The project is expected to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 1,095 tonnes per year, helping reduce the factory’s reliance on conventional energy.

The factory has also built and put into operation a ground-source heat pump system. The system improves energy recycling and reduces energy waste and associated carbon emissions. Together, these clean energy measures support the development of the green factory.
