On December 26, Xinhai Mining’s Mineral Comprehensive Utilization Testing and Pilot Plant Center was officially approved as the only provincial-level pilot demonstration base in Shandong Province for mineral processing technologies and equipment.

The Mineral Comprehensive Utilization Testing and Pilot Plant Center covers approximately 2,000 m² and is equipped with a CNAS-accredited laboratory, as well as complete pilot-scale facilities spanning crushing, grinding, separation, concentrate handling, and tailings management.

The center supports over 70 types of minerals, providing services from gram-scale laboratory tests to continuous, ton-scale pilot trials. This enables clients to obtain stable, reliable process flowsheets and technical solutions that can be directly applied to industrial plant design and project execution.

Xinhai’s pilot center is led by Mr. Zhang Yunlong, Fellow of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (AusIMM), and supported by a technical team of more than 120 specialists across geology, mineral processing, mechanical design, and electrical automation.

Beyond standardized testing, the team is well equipped to address complex engineering challenges encountered during pilot operations, delivering innovative and practical solutions tailored to real project conditions.

03Proven Solutions for Complex and Refractory Ores

The center has demonstrated strong capabilities in addressing industry-wide technical challenges, particularly in the processing of complex and refractory resources.

Over the past two years, Xinhai has successfully completed multiple pilot projects involving low-grade collophanite phosphate ores, red mud utilization, green and low-carbon mineral processing technologies, and the extraction of key minerals for new energy applications.

These projects have effectively bridged the gap between laboratory-scale testing and industrial implementation, overcoming long-standing bottlenecks in the processing of difficult-to-beneficiate ores.
