Limonite is one of the main iron mines, which is a kind of brown natural polymineral mixture. The main component is iron oxide. Limonite is a secondary iron ore with low iron content, which is easier to extract. Besides, it is also used as pigment, even the pigment substance in loess. So, Xinhai introduces the main limonite beneficiation process.
The common limonite beneficiation process of Xinhai mainly includes grinding, gravity separation and reverse flotation process.
Grinding & Classifying
Raw ore is sent to wet grid type ball mill until -200 mesh limonite ore particle accounts for 96% ~ 96%, the pulp concentration reaches 50% ~ 60%, then grinding products are sent to Xinhai high weir spiral classifier for classification overflow, next to -200 mesh round vibrating screen. Finally, the pulp concentration is adjusted to 20% ~ 20%, and unsized ore grain return to wet grid type ball mill for regrinding.
The above pulp is feed into Xinhai spiral chute for roughing, cleaning and second cleaning.
1. Roughing: Xinhai carry on slurry desliming firstly, the slurry discharged from concentrates mouth and middlings mouth is up to 15% ~ 25%, and then enter into cleaning. The sludge on the edge of spiral chute and tailings are discharged into tailings pond.
2. Cleaning: Xinhai carry on slurry desliming and cleaning, and get concentrates from concentrate mouth, then adjust middlings pulp concentration to 15% ~ 25%, next to second cleaning. The sludge on the edge of spiral chute and tailings are discharged into tailings pond.
3. Second cleaning: Xinhai carry on slurry desliming and cleaning, and get concentrates from concentrate mouth, then adjust middlings pulp concentration to 15% ~ 25%, next to reverse flotation process. The sludge on the edge of spiral chute and tailings are discharged into tailings pond.
Reverse Flotation Process
Xinhai add 100g ~ 200g/t inhibitors and 100g ~ 150g/t collector to middlings pulp, and mix them about 2 - 3 minutes, then adopt reverse flotation process under normal temperature and PH7 conditions about 10 to 12 minutes, finally obtain high-grade limonite concentrate.
In limonite beneficiation process, Xinhai not only separate limonite concentrates, but also optimize the whole ore dressing process and extremely improve the limonite grade.
